I heard this game was good, and thankfully, I've managed to acquire sufficient funds shortly after its release to purchase it - went with the digital copy off PSN which is paired with the "Military Pack" DLC for week one customers.

I've spent several hours on the game so far - and it's highly avant-garde in every single respect. Amazing artwork, with a unique story - there's a serene atmosphere, yet still some mysterious aspects. The heroine's character design is lovely - and she gets through both story missions, as well as more lighthearted, or rewarding, side-stories.

Of course you'd have to finish the main story to win the game, through the game allows you to take your pace towards it - for example, after I finish a story mission, I could just free-roam, or I can go do some extra stuff, missions, gather info, whatever. The optional tasks are diverse and useful if completed.

The game guides you along very well - it acquaints you with tasks just enough so you learn how to do it, yet it doesn't keep babying you beyond that. It also doesn't just drop you somewhere and have you figure out what to do - it's as if the game somehow checks to see how well or often you complete something and depending on that, it determines whether to provide you further instruction or not.

Aside from her looks, the heroine's personality is also very cute - and best of all, she has a neko companion with her who aides her.

I'm certainly having fun with this game - going to post more as I progress.

I finished the game yesterday. Like you said, its very well done! I wouldn't expect anything more from JapanStudio for making these unique games.

I only have a single problem with it so far...........
I DON'T WANNA WAIT TIL JUNE 26 FOR THE MAID PACK >:(

Dat maid pack.

I need it now also - I'm willing to pay any price.

Also I'm curious, how long did it take you to win the game? I just hope it's not too short - that'd be a bit disappointing.

it took me 9 hours to finish the story and a few minigames/timetrials....:/
don't know if it is long or not because I rarely play video games....

but to my unreliable standards, i believe it is a moderately paced game. And the chapters could be a bit abrupt concerning the storyline.

9 hours is about the average for a portable game - it should take me longer though cause I like to free roam and complete everything. I get bothered if I do a story mission before having finished all extra stuff.

I used to play games on regular home consoles, though I determined I only like PSP style of play - on the go, wherever, highly convenient, with the same quality of games. I played extensively on PS2, incredibly a lot on PSP, barely any on PS3, and now I'm enjoying the Vita. So long as I can keep affording new games, and more games are released - I'm going to really be pleased.

I have a PS3, but the only games that I have so far are Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, and MW2. I mostly use it only to watch my blu-ray dvds and that's pretty much it.
And i love my PSP and PSVita too. Patapon and MonHun are the best!!! >:D

Anyways, I just spent another 4 hours trying to get all of the trophies....I finished the military pack trophies and 82 percent of the normal game's..... my eyes are burning TT-TT Finding the travelers are such a pain...i probably pressed my R button an infinite number of times just to find 1 person<:/

I sold my PS3, don't regret buying it since I did play some incredible games - though it just didn't captivate me in general enough.

Patapon indeed is awesome - as you mentioned earlier, JapanStudio is amazing. In respect to Monster Hunter though, I'm positive it's spectacular, though I tried it once very long ago and couldn't figure out how to play - I gave up way too easily and never got to enjoy the game. I plan on buying it off PSN soon however - I know I'm missing out.

Also, that sounds pretty rough - I'd get worried for the well-being of my R button, and I probably will, since I'm going to be playing the same mission soon enough.

I got locked in a cage - it felt like Monkey Island all over again.

Having made it up to chapter 10 of the game, I can confirm that it's even more epic than one would originally believe based on hype alone.

LOL yep-at around chapter 10 I began to wonder what would it be like if i had the ability to manipulate gravity...
Then all of a sudden my mind started going all over the place with the thought.

I would have the sensation of falling every time i use my power- meaning I get an adrenaline rush. With this power, i can pull off all-nighters without slacking 0-0. Oh yeah....if you haven't gotten the ability already, gravity sliding is pretty BA.

And I totally agree with you, the epicosity levels are off the charts.
What's Monkey Island?

Gravity sliding is pretty slick indeed.
