Post College/University for anyone?
on: August 14, 2012, 10:34

Just back from my induction for Media & Communication today, really convenient building (2 minute walk to my train station, 2 minute walk once I get off, 'till I get to the college, 45 minute train), free access to libraries, a gym and hobby clubs. Much better than what I could have anticipated. While my days are good, my hours are a little more bothersome....

Wed ~ 9am-12.15pm Writing for the Media | 1:15pm - 4:40pm Radio Production
Thu ~ 9am-12.15pm Public Relations | 1:15pm - 4:40pm Film Theory | 4:30pm - 5pm Guidance
Fri ~ 1:15pm - 4:40pm Creative Industries: An Introduction | 4:30pm - 5pm Guidance

But that aside, any of you guys planning, or hoping to study in anything this year or next?

You got lucky on the transport end lol.

I will find out whether I'll be going back to college or going to university on Thursday :|

This plan spares me more than an hour a day, I'd take it any day of the year XD
Be sure to let us know what your plans are, regardless of whether you manage or not. Your circumstances, are pretty damned unfair, considering you DID have the needed qualifications only for it to be lost, removed or whatever by a mistake of the board, which is nothing short of bullshit.

Keep positive man, no matter the outcome ~

That's nearly 12 hours of the day spent on college - and you're supposed to sleep for 8 hours, that means you only have 4 hours to do whatever. The thought of that is pretty horrifying.

On Wed/Thu at least, however Fridays are more easy going, having 7 hours of my day taken up.
I'll likely waken at about 6:30am, get the bus about 7:20am, arrive just on time, provided there is no traffic obstructions, leave at 4:30/5.00pm take a 10-15 minute walk to get to the nearest bus stop home, and head straight home that way.

What I'm more feeling uneasy about, is when winter rolls on in, for Wed/Thu, I'll not see a blink of daylight besides lunch, if I'll be in a radio studio for half the time. This is why I'm not gunning out for a job just yet, I want to see if I can even manage my college work, and attendance first. If that goes well, I'll scour at my lunch breaks to job hunt in Glasgow for a weekend position.

I wouldn't mind a schedule like that one, in fact I'm super jelly that you are going to college, its been 2 years since i graduated high school but sadly i cant go to college because I'm an illegal alien thats why i have thought about going back to Mexico and go to college there but still i have no idea of what i want to study.
