Extracting every dime they can out of Sandwich-kun, another Sword Art Online PS Vita title is to arrive – and so as to rekindle interest, the series will be ruining New Year’s Eve with its “Extra Edition” episode.

The “Extra Edition” debacle scheduled for December 31st is merely a mizugi fanfare compilation – no one could be bothered to look its direction had it not had females whoring for attention. As for the game, it debuts next year, takes place in an “unexplored area”, and will introduce “a mysterious new girl” – another pawn to be filled with two year’s worth of semen. The game will likely be as poorly designed and pantsu oriented as its predecessor.

  • I played a game like this as well. It’s called “World of Warcraft”.
And honestly speaking, WoW had better loot and better plot.

So SAO might as well make itself to an eroge already before it gets identified as a crappy ripoff.

You might be displeased/pleased to know that the author realizes what he was writing, and gave Kirito a Harem of Artifical Intelligences to top up the Escapist fantasy, while writing a half baked Polemic on the rights of Artificial Intelligence.

      • triton6783 says:

Remind me again, does that make the series suck less?

        • Anonymous says:

Alicization arc? Well… it starts off promisingly, with the author somehow managing to resist throwing in Female Characters just because. And then, it falls apart in the some point into the second volume of that arc, once the author reverts to his bad habit of planting girls under every bush.

Actually, I look forward to the Fireworks once GGO comes up, and Yuri Sandwhich accusations once Mother Rosario get’s it’s anime.

      • jokspacifist says:

You know he wrote the whole SAO saga back in 2002.
He is just making some refinements.

While it looks like. “This is ALO all again”, the plot twist make it a bit more interesting, as well the “polemic” he trows in.

        • triton6783 says:

“He is just making some refinements.”

Well then his “refinements” have gone to waste.

        • gargamesh says:

You know, that doesn’t matter one bit.

There are works written in 2000 like Tsukihime, yet didn’t need “some refinements”.

Guys that like SAO just love to make excuses.

          • jokspacifist says:

Ok I get, when the Second Season post is made, we will get to it.

Just out of curiosity, have you read the novels past ALO arc ?

            • Seven says:

The second season won’t be any better than the first season.

The novels suck just as much as the anime.

              • Anonymous says:

I see… so you have read the novel to be able to comment? That means you have read the novel and watch the anime, seems a bit much for someone who does not seem to like the series, don’t you think so?

    • Anonymous says:

Yup! Better loot and better plot! I’m sure it has these 2 factors! But I think you’re forgetting that it is quite a failed piece of thrash. Since the game’s server crashed on the first day and has made a few more useless DLC and with a panda now? THAT”S ORIGINAL.

It isn’t a ova just a recap of tv series with new scenes.

    • Seven says:

“The ‘Extra Edition’ debacle scheduled for December 31st is merely a mizugi fanfare compilation”

Spells OVA for a work like Sword Art Online.

      • triton6783 says:

The new scenes will be mizugi scenes, I’d bet on it.

      • jokspacifist says:

SAO Season 2 (Gun Gale Online) will be announced right after the Special airs. Calling it.

OH GOD, Mahouka and SAO airing close to each other. The Fanboy wars will be fun to watch.

        • jinta says:

You and pretty much anyone who knows about the ova is expecting Gun Gale Online anime to be announced.I haven’t even seen SAO and am looking forward to the announcement myself.

I wonder how SAO fans would react if GGO anime adaption wasn’t announced?

          • triton6783 says:

“OMG, THE BEST ANIME EVER IS COMING BACK!!! CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE AWESOME FIGHT SCENES AND ORIGINAL PLOT!!! KIRITO AND ASUNA FOREVER!!!”

            Something like that.

            • jinta says:

I think you misread I said i wonder how they would react if GGO anime wasn’t announced.I’d think they’d be more pissed off than excited.

            • Anonymous says:

Actually, no. The chants would be for Sinon, and they’d be shouting her name to the roof-top. Keep in mind that a good portion of the fans read ahead. The giddier fans would be predicting a Mother’s Rosario Movie, and a Calibur OVA.

              • jokspacifist says:

That’s right. Bring in bad-ass sniper rifle toting girl.

It even feels like a spin-off. Only the OP one will be seen from Season 1, slicing bullets in mid air.

              • Seven says:

in mid air, at one frame a second

            • Anonymous says:

If think you should know Asuna is basically absent from the rest of the SAO main plot if the anime were to follow the novels.

I didn’t care about the first season elf/orc slaving stuff. But, I’m looking forward to gunfights.
              If anyone’s interested.

              • gargamesh says:

I think you should know from what the anime did, that doesn’t matter one bit.

              • triton6783 says:

I’d be excited for gunfights too if I didn’t already know that they would be presented in slide show format.

              • Seven says:

The whole anime would be like the cutscenes from Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, but terrible, with horrid characters and worse music.

  • Anonymous says:

At least the graphics looks decent, so maybe I’ll buy it.
SAO for PSP sucked too much, and I couldn’t enjoy it.

    • triton6783 says:

Let’s be honest here, even if the graphics had been good, it is still SAO, so you probably still wouldn’t have enjoyed it.

    • It’s still a lousy RPG series with mediocre graphics.
You’ll be better off spending your 55 USD on Diablo 3.

    • kawaidespair says:

These are at least PSP graphics, and the PSP one had worse graphic than a PS1 game.

      • Anonymous says:

Anime adapted games generally are rubbish, in graphics. There are Indie Studios in the West that make better looking games than Japanese Anime to Game makers.

  • Anonymous says:

Got to give it to the guy who wrote it, he sure managed to make lot of money out of trash pile, can’t blame him for that

    • jingoi says:

we can blame the suc….I mean fans.

    • triton6783 says:

Really makes you wonder if he even likes the crap that he writes.

      • Anonymous says:

Ten years ago, perhaps (since most of the crap was written that long ago). Certainly, he’d probably likes the money it brought him (=. Probably not today though, since he wants to rewrite the whole series all over again.

        • Seven says:

Rewriting the whole series over again means he can get all of the money all over again.

          • Anonymous says:

He wrote it for free actually… It was available up on his site, up until he decided to publish it.
The only real differences between the original web version, and the published version is the years, and a couple minor scene changes…

Though, none of you probably care, seeing as you seem to spend an excess amount of time bashing the series, as if you get some kind of gratification from it.

  • gintoki says:

The time has come…to put down psp and buy myself a PSvita.
