An elemental workshop.

According to the Amazon JP description for the book, the continually postponed Kizumonogatari will finally be arriving in 2013 – a full year, and then some, beyond its originally promised release date.

Just how reliable an Amazon product description may be isn’t initially clear, but one should be aware that these descriptions aren’t randomly conjured up – they come courtesy of the product distributor themselves, which in this case, means the publisher for Kizumonogatari. The lack of immediately recent marketing for the film would make a debut this year seem unlikely – but the film has been long overdue, and an autumn or winter slate would be ample opportunity for relighting the candles of hype in the meantime.

It would make the most sense to release it after Monogatari Second Season has finished. Maybe it’s even December 31 – like Neko Kuro.

I really hope this is true, but I’ve already gotten pretty used to the fact that it feels like this movie is never being released. I would love to be proven wrong though, and as soon as possible.

A continuation of the -gatari series was happening this year, wasn’t it? Could be they’re planning on releasing the film after the anime…

The second season is airing this July. Also, it is called the -Monogatari series. And maybe it would be a good idea to release it soon after, before the hype dies down.

  • Nah, I doubt it.
You guys better get ready, because most likely this will be the last one of the franchise.

Uhhmmm never read the news about ALL of the monogatari novels getting greenlit by SHAFT? They’re going to finish all the novels which means about 7 more seasons.

          • Seven says:

Uhhmmm never read the news where all those novels are being mashed into one series called “Monogatari Second Season”? I’d like seven more seasons too, but it’s not happening, sorry.

  • please be true.
