“Shingeki No Kyojin” Raids Japan

Jun 1, 2013 @ 13:17 CST

Japan is being invaded by monstrous titans – a giant slab of advertising for Shingeki no Kyojin’s first Blu-ray volume has gone up in Akiba, a panel of disturbing artwork scaling several stories across a building.

Children will be crying in its wake, a hideous titan’s face now pervades the skyline of Japan. The marketing campaign’s effectiveness is questionable as the shock factor of the chosen image is fairly high, but then again, this was likely aimed at the fans to begin with in hopes of further swaying their interest into making a final purchase. As for everyone else, the horror of a faceless face sprawled across a building exterior will be sure to keep them away.
