As if humanity is in need of any more of these, a second drama CD has been confirmed for debut December 21st of lengthily titled harem romance series “Ore to Ichino no Game Doukoukai Katsudou Nisshi“.
Aside from the glaring moe of the bishoujos who account for the series’ cast, which even then isn’t anything unique, this resurrection of elements past their expiration date obviously provides no other respite for the soul. The story summarizes as merely “a romantic comedy” following a straw-man of a protagonist who simply can’t abandon anyone in need – luckily for him, the thousands of other generic protagonists who can’t leave alone the helpless also share the same philosophy, making the word quite a safer place.
This series doesn’t play out as logically as that however – instead, the protagonist has a friend, who is incidentally a female, and the two somehow learn they both have mystical powers – deciding the only proper course of action upon learning of one’s arcane ability is to form a school club for it.
Yet if one can withstand the pain of such idiocy and lack of originality, regardless of however harsh, unforgiving, and searingly intense it may be, at least there also comes the artwork of cute girls to console one whilst in their state of recovery.
As aforementioned, the drama CD makes its release a few days before Christmas – and perhaps would serve as an excellent gift for junk item collectors.

Otakus never get tired of the same harems over and over again. I’d rather take some anime originals with interesting premises like Psycho-Pass than wasting over the same LN adaptations with identical school harem premises.

As long as it sells, it will continue. The only way I can see these over-used harems stopping is, if and only if every dude in the world gets their very own harem of at least 4 hot girls.
