To Aru Kagaku no Railgun was granted a second season, and fast as usual, JC Staff has hastily tossed out a key visual – an illustration centered upon the female characters which, quite a rarity, is simply humorous.
The whole arrangement of this illustration is rather comical – and unlike Sword Art Online, it’s not as result of the artwork being simply so terrible in quality that it’s hysterical, or anything of the sort. The aesthetics seen here are excellent and in tact with the previous season – it’s just that the subject matter and composition are both so hilarious, the girls as well as their poses.
Standing cheerfully front and center, the flat chested heroine has her leg bent inward as she’s seemingly engaging in some kind of enthusiastic call to action – arms amusingly in a demeanor of a feminine run, which is fittingly cute of course, yet also funny in the grand scheme of things. If Misaka were alone, strangely enough, she wouldn’t look as silly as she does – however, she’s met on both sides by a girl in a contrasting seifuku.
As each of these two girls adorn a sefuku of a starkly different style, this drives attention straight to Misaka. Yet as these two still carry some heavy contrast themselves, the eye will examine them perhaps even prior to looking at Misaka – and seeing the ridiculous flower headpiece, alongside the glistening smiles, as well as the more so invigorated posing, it makes it look as if Misaka is leading a campaign of some sort.
The characters flanking have appearances quite entertaining – and as they stand behind Misaka in a manner which seems supportive, it again looks as if a new legion is sprouting – one in which the target demographic is cute albeit abnormal girls. At the moment, this is the sole item of preview material released of Railgun’s second run – and whilst not too revealing of any details, it does seem the second season certainly is looking favoring.

How good, in your opinion, are the To Aru series?

Speak personally, I had high impression on this, though the quality wasn’t good enough because of JC staff, visual background seemed to be downranked.

also, i’m not fond in many instances of animation in to aru, most of the time, their heads aren’t proportional to their bodies, they look like bigger than they’re supposed to be,

To Aru Majutsu is okay. I personally find the story a little too cluttered at times for my taste, and the protagonist at times toes the line between righteous and just plain annoying – but overall I certainly feel it’s worth spending your time watching.
Really happy that Railgun’s getting another season, though. I think part of me wanted S3 of Majutsu instead so as to see the “main” story through, but Railgun was always more fun (in my opinion) anyway.

Misaka is more kawaii and moetractive.

Well there’s certainly that. :P

I still wish for spin-off, which is focused on accelerator….
Seriously though the 2 most main character, the annoying loli nun(Index) and the dude, suffering from shounen-protagonist syndrome(Touma), the both of them need to jump a lake or something.

Actually To Aru already makes Accelerator as the main character.
In fact, the series has two main characters, Touma (on the magic’s side), and Accelerator (on the science’s side).
Well, in the later story, the author adds a new character as the third main character.

Then, I really want an S3. I really like the concept of to aru, but can’t stop disliking touma and index. Besides that, I already knew misaka’s and accelerator’s status as protagonist(just not portrayed to the degree of my liking in the anime) but it’s kinda obivous the “most” focused MCs are index and touma.

Accelerator gets a few thick volumes all for himself. It’s pretty awesome.

Ah well s2 of Railgun focuses on Accelerator quite a bit.., after all, it is the Sisters arc

In fact, they both are neutral and has only in their mind the thought of protecting ones they love.
I don’t want to spoil, if you had read the light novel you should know.
