Fullsized variants of the silly key visuals released as per the Madoka Magica global propaganda effort have become available – looking plainly hilarious as they portray mahou shoujos to international landmarks.
One of the more amusing aspects regarding this series of promotional imagery is how the girls sustain a stiff and identical appearance all throughout the various locations they seemingly have embarked. The result makes these artworks collectively feel like a gag – and that’s surely their intended purpose to begin with, a comical attempt at marketing, which in other words means success. Such half-baked key visuals have never been nearly as endowed with impact as they are now.

They could at least change their poses. Well, it still looks amazing. Can’t wait for the movie.

The uniformity in the pose is to ensure that the movies being shown, and the faith being spread, remains the same. The only issue I have is that even in the cities where the film is being shown, it has an extremely limited screening that there is no attempt to spread the Gospel of Madoka, generate a decent profit, or even to cover the cost of producing the subtitle. For example, the Hong Kong screening takes place in only one theater for one day, and it will only be shown twice.
