Ebiten’s individual Blu-ray releases come with scantily yet elegant artwork of the series’ assorted females – on the other hand, Sofmap is offering a special, and rather sultry, box for its own customers of the BD.
Acquiring all the Blu-rays of Ebiten at Sofmap will indeed allow one to receive a box fanciful with the indecent illustration seen above. In terms of what this art piece shows, it’s blatantly quite raunchy – and significantly demeaning in general, as well as in comparison to the standard Blu-ray covers. Contributing to the obscenity, the girls look fairly synthetic – and combining that facet with their outfits and poses, this is left resembling a flier for a venue of the red light district.
Perhaps the most likable element of the entire art piece is the pattern seen sprawling across the legs of the bishoujo to the right – easily the most refined aspect of the illustration. Continuing on with the subject of fashion, the articles these girls adorn are outright grotesque – it’s a mess of various inconsistent fabrics, which fail to properly articulate the form of the body. The BD cover art of the separate volumes actually features a splendid selection of intimacies – so this is somewhat of a surprise.
To be fair however, such a style is actually quite fitting of Ebiten.
Being a series concentrated around endeavors of underwear exposure and the likes, marketing abuse of this kind isn’t exactly abnormal so much as it is inevitable.

These look like ero figures waiting to happen. The artist of Ebiten and Seitokai seem to love that position too.

Pose aside, that illustration is vastly superior.
