Upon the release of the series’ first PV, Ore no Imouto’s second season seemingly embraces the transition into a petty harem series – and in a manner so blatant, it looks that the quality has already shattered.
It may be incorrect to say Ore no Imouto’s second season will be disappointing – particularly since it already appears disappointing from this clip alone, and that means the only available direction is to travel further down into the realms of horrible yet to be seen. After a title screen, as well as some subsequent annoying imouto antics, the clip then shuffles through a half-second flash of every single girl to be featured within this upcoming series – almost as if proud of the fact that it will be becoming a conventional harem series.
Better yet, after showing us all the girls a first time, the video cuts to the title once more – and then indeed, incomprehensibly shows us all of the girls a second time. Ironically, around the mid-point of the clip, it fills the screen with the words “the original” in English – yet unfortunately, Ore no Imouto’s “original” story isn’t very original, and we apparently need not even wait until the series premiere to see why.
Not to mention, the devolution into remedial harem already makes the route to follow quite obvious – it’s already clear the only two girls with any kind of chance are either the gothic lolita, or the fellow’s own little sister, the other girls are present solely to satisfy number and fetish requirements.
Perhaps the most ill-fated in this entire development is A-1 Pictures, as even if they attempted with full effort to create something worthwhile, it’s questionable if the series itself allows for it – meaning they will have yet another calamity of an animation under their name.

I’m still watching this…Imouto is Imouto. There’s just no arguing about that.

The preview was good.
It really wasn’t any different from the PV for the first season.

It wasn’t – though it seems more lively and glorifying of itself. And given the direction of the source material, I don’t like where this is going.

Doesnt it get really, really bad towards the end?

I liked the 1st season, but the 2nd season isn’t looking so hot. Sucky or not just as long as they follow the light novels story Im alright with it. Id hate to see another anime that is so different from its manga/light novel/visual novel.

Where are the new characters?
Are they even following the Light Novel or is this some kind of a filler-story?

The second season is emphasizing the fact it will feature “the true route”.
