An elemental workshop.

A PV has been released alongside some pre-release imagery for the second spectacle of Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai! – and it appears that the moeblob female lead is readying to go all out insane, literally.

It seems that moeblob is a disease which affects not only creativity, yet also has some health impacts for the relevant character in question – the heroine of this series is seemingly growing in senility, and the second episode will apparently be endowed with a rather ecstatic divergence downward into nonsensical fantasy. Incidentally, it takes little to be superior to rehashed romance – so this is actually an intercession of a scribbled mess quite welcome.

I’m guessing based from the preview and her appearance. The last girl is her sister?

  • triton6783 says:

She looks like the spawn of Misaki from Another and Yui from K-on!

  • maqui says:

For some reason the main female lead looks like she was in another anime.

    • Seven says:

      That’s a side-effect of being generic.

      • gargamesh says:

no, i think she is copying misaki mei in hopes that her greatness would rub off on her, too bad for her it didn’t work

Because after Misaki Mei, no character will ever be able to where a medical eye patch again. Sure, that makes sense.

I don’t speak for other peoples’ reasoning on the eyepatch deal, and I don’t intend to get into an argument over generic or not – though I just want to say, I believe it is valid to say she is highly reminiscent to Misaki Mei more so than a mere resemblance.

And this is not simply because of the eyepatch, but because of shared fashion elements in conjunction with the eyepatch – alongside the similar pupil color, hair style, and perhaps even physical composition had she not been composed of a more rounded shape and line set.

Wot? Mei’s design is based on the straight line. Her posture was mostly stiff for the entire run. Rikka’s degisn is based on a line drawn by a screaming toddler….as is her character motivation….

              • Seven says:

That’s exactly what I meant – “had she” is referencing your moeblob girl, perhaps it wasn’t clearly stated.

          • gargamesh says:

it’s because of her lines last episode that i was positively sure she was copying her, i mean “Do you want to see it” line was also said by mei when she was showing the eye to sakakibara, and after another, any girl with short black hair with an eyepatch will remind you of misaki mei, not that there are many characters with that description

            • Seven says:

It wouldn’t be a surprise if she was purposefully intended to parody Misaki Mei either considering that’s the sort of series this is – generic, parody, comedy.
