Magi’s shota protagonist seemingly didn’t always look like a frail toddler kid – a magazine artwork shows that one of the original ideas for his design had quite an erotic dancer vibe to it, alongside traces of femininity.
It’s a bit questionable why whomever was responsible for the designs happened to view Aladdin as a scrawny and slim fellow regardless of what was ultimately decided on – however, one can be grateful that the final choice of shota is certainly a superior one over either of those seen here. To the left, it looks like the slave girl of the series would have had a girlfriend to express her woes to – meanwhile, the right variant is just a little bit too exuberant.

Despite looking quite superb, I am glad that they settled for less on the fanservice page and focused more on making this a good story. Also what would Aladin’s name have been?
