An elemental workshop.

Madoka Magica’s final film geared promotional image is centered on the fiery red, yuri inclined mahou shoujo, Kyouko – which does certainly have a lavishing visual appeal thanks to stunning color and line combination.

Seemingly, the more exquisite a frame looks, the less memorable it is – this is a scene likely taken from a transitional moment, which accounts for the panned out camera, finer lines in place of the usual thick streaks, and dark inward moving shadows. Scraps of a shattered obscurity are scattered around – representing the break away of something, yet as to what specifically, one might as well watch the film when it comes out.
