Ambiguous bishoujo transformation series, Magical Suite Prism Nana, has received a new PV – albeit one which predominantly outputs content already once before seen, not that such makes it any less abstract.
In short, the clip contains a colorful moe mess – a sight reminiscent to a cake with an excess of frosting.
Getting more detailed however, it was revealed a while back that Prism Nana is “not a mahou shoujo series” – and with that in mind, there remains an open question of how the various visual oddities shown in the PV relate to anything then. It’s not necessarily that this ever looked like a “mahou shoujo” series to begin with – rather, it matched one’s perception of what a magical girl series would be, and with little else to explain otherwise, the belief stood.
After all, how else can one explain the arcane madness spewing around every direction?
The PV shows a reality where our girls live their “normal” lives – yet it also portrays a separate realm as well, a dimension absent of worldly standards. It’s in this second universe where our girls morph into their ultra-bishoujo form – and it’s worth noting that just about anything appears to pass within this alternate world. Artful colors, elaborate patterns, and unconventional lines and shapes flood the scene – the crucial point of contemplation is how these unusual facets gain meaning within the grand scale of the series.
Of course however, such will have to remain a coldcase for the time being as the information on this series is bleak – nonetheless, it at least opens up a path of greater thinking. These girls could be aliens for all we know.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up to be the same kind of plot as Black Rock Shooter. Only, not as horribly written.

The OVA series which debuted on noitaminA is a legendary work – and excellent in every respect.

I think that the TV series is also legendary, but it can be confusing, so I understand what you mean.

I think he was being sarcastic.

I haven’t seen him before so I couldn’t realize how pathetic that comment is if it were truly that way.

It’s like Madoka Magica, except with added Moeblob.

It’s like Madoka Magica, only their faces aren’t as wide.
Sep 30, 2012 @ 11:17 CDT
I was never a fan of wide faces, but their outfits were adorable

Am I only one who hadn’t taken just a look at Madoka Magica ?

if you hadn’t you should, but if you don’t like excellent story, plot music and visuals, with a little shocking twist you probably won’t like it :)
Sep 30, 2012 @ 10:44 CDT
It won’t disappoint in the visual department, that’s for sure.

I like the vivid patterns – it’s like a moe version of Sound Shapes.
