Out of the blue, the ever-proactive official site of Haiyore! Nyaruko has begun a countdown to an unspecified event set for three days from now – leading one to question if a second season of the series is soon to debut.
The countdown is ambiguous, with no mentioned reason, and the actuality of its purpose could be any number of things – however, a fair presumption would lead one to think that perhaps its a teaser of a second season’s announcement or premiere, reason being that a second run is of course a logical follow-up on a popular series, and a second season has already been implied in the past by Nyaruko’s official visual guide.
Not to mention, seeing as how an abundance of lesser series somehow receive continuations, it would be baffling if this actually respectable harem romance comedy, lined with the rare mineral of originality, somehow did not.
Nyaruko sells quite well, and it manages to appeal to the flavors of the masses whilst still being something of distinction in itself – meaning it meets all the criteria necessary to please every party, corporation, individual, and otherwise. And indeed, that being the case, the absence of a second season’s arrival simply would not make sense.
However, Nyarlathotep has failed to disappoint up till now – thus one can be assured that whatever this countdown brings upon its end, the chances are it will be favorable.
