Sci-fi romance film soon to arrive, “Nerawareta Gakuen“, has granted release of a second preview video – hovering through accent of life’s simplistic moments, as well as the more elaborate futuristic transition.
The post-modern emphasis is surprisingly minimal – the clip places its center spotlight on the aspect of romance between the leading male and female, captivating through the fact that it’s visibly based around much emotion, and not merely any generic affair. One can see many aspects which collectively tell a tale – memories of childhood, met with scenes of modern time, all featuring the pair of protagonists engaging in a variety of activities together.
At a few moments within the PV, one will find the heroine blushing – each instance doing well to show what she truly thinks of the male lead, especially when considered alongside the established circumstance and other scenarios.
Instead of the all too often seen love by default ordeal in which the heroine has a burning lust to have her virginity stolen away by the leading male for no apparent reason, as if she’s going to self-destruct if her hole remains unfilled, this series shows us a gradual and extended relationship – the heroine and leading male have known one another for quite a while as the clip goes to show, and they also clearly enjoy themselves when together.
Indeed, the details portraying the prevalent romance amount to very warm feelings – in other words meaning something of actual substance, versus the more commonly seen element of nothing. One is led to develop sentiments of sympathy, and perhaps even empathy, as we’re not just dropped into a situation – but we’re also shown other evidence backing it, or implying further details, which would be all the different points that go to prove our heroine has a crush on the protagonist.
It’s a lovely arrangement indeed – and as result, it gives hope that the dried genre of romance may receive a much needed injection of vitality and excellence, a long-overdue love story which actually revolves around love.
