An elemental workshop.

God Eater 2 is raining a brutal storm of hype down upon all the eager gaming otaku – unleashing a PV, and assaulting every sense within the first several seconds alone as it seems the original was hardly a start.

Not even half a minute into the clip below, one can already catch sight of new stages to slaughter beasts within, alongside monsters both familiar and strange, all just past the title introduction screen. Of specific interest, it seems one creature is capable of spiking down upon the player – a form of attack previously not a concern to any returning God Eaters, yet certainly making for a welcomed challenge of course. Additionally, the visuals are strikingly improved – turned from great to gorgeous in transition from the first title.

And it’s not merely on a general scale in which the aesthetics have been tuned, seasoned players should be in a fit of joy at noticing the enhanced movement and attack animation – which aside from being majorly streamlined over the original, is far more reasonable and natural as well, a less robotic display of motor skills.

Better yet, the PSP’s lack of a second analog made the camera angling quite awkward – yet as the Vita solves this design flaw, veteran savers of the world will be melting in the warm respite of a useful and intuitive camera angle, a critically needed feature of God Eater, now finally arriving soon.

An unspecified month of 2013, the war will continue – yet hopefully, it’s not too late in the year that the game is released, one wouldn’t want the battlefield to remain undefended for too long.

Here’s hoping this’ll get an english release. I immensly enjoyed GE1 and eagerly await this sequel. This and P4 Golden is enough to get me to buy a PS Vita :)
Is the console region locked, or can I play US games on a Europe/Australian console?

    • supersherman says:

Its not region locked, and was the first game translated?

      • Seven says:

The first game was localized as “Gods Eater Burst” – you can find it on the PSN. Besides the change to plural in the title, which while a minor shift is quite a nuisance for reasons one will figure when playing, it’s all identical.

Of course however, the English dub isn’t going to be universally enjoyed.

Too many bishies but this looks like something I can sink my teeth into.

Just started to play Gods Eater Burst, but even still, I cannot wait for this to localise, looks incredible, but sadly I don’t like the adhoc element, I wish the Vita could just focus on proper online with servers.

    • Seven says:

Servers cost a lot of money – they don’t want to pay for servers that would supports hundreds of thousands of players for a single game, they wouldn’t profit from the game in that case.
