An unsatisfying CM has been released for upcoming childhood friend based romance series, Oreshura – the video being composed of four still frames at most, camera panning across all of them unamusingly.
Rather than a promotional clip, it’s more just as if some key visuals have been released through the video below – and indeed, minus the male character, all is looking rather lovely. Being an A-1 Pictures production, this series, which set to air January of 2013, is particularly worth recognizing in how the characters are not of the fast food menu sort – or at least not in full. The visage of each is memorable, and the seifuku of blue is as unique as an extensively rehashed uniform can be – a respectable level of improvement over a certain ongoing A-1 Pictures work.
Unfortunately, even if one says something positive of the visuals however – the plot remains a plain vanilla harem. Assuming the anime will take after the source material, there is no redeeming factors in that respect – upon the series’ start, the female characters almost instinctively seek out the protagonist, and subsequently then attempt to mate with him.
Indeed, in these sort of tales, it’s as if the heroines have some kind of dependency on the main character for their sanity – as if required in order not to turn into a sorrowful mush, or the more rare yet amusing byproduct of yandere. Instead of a “romance”, it seems something more so of a compulsive obsession – although it’s worth noting that a few might define the two similarly.
In either case, if there happens to be any fans of series with females suffering from a deficiency of incompetent protagonist, then this is likely the ideal remedy.

the MC dislike romance ’cause his parents divorce after all they said and done that they love each other…

They’re average at most – the color application and fine lines make them more appealing than the norm however.

I tried reading the series because, I liked the concept of 2 people getting together to fend off others due to both hating romance. But it seemed to go into the wrong direction when the childhood friend was introduced(though I haven’t really read far so my opinion can still change). For once, I just wanted a romance series to be between a developing couple, with a good story and supporting cast around them. As cliche as that would’ve sounded several years ago, I would find it a refreshing breathe of air in a harem dominated era.
