Top 10 Heroines Of Summer 2012

Sep 15, 2012 @ 21:02 CDT

Otaku have voted to determine the top heroine of the anime season of summer 2012 – and there’s actually reason to rejoice as the ranking is favorable for the most part, with the first spot being agreeable and ideal.

First place has never been impeccable as this:

1.) Watashi (Jintai)

2.) Asuna (Sword Art Online)
3.) Akaza Akari (Yuru Yuri S2)
4.) Wakana Sakai (Tari Tari)

5.) Inaba Himeko (Kokoro Connect)
6.) Oda Nobuna (Oda Nobuna no Yabou)
7.) Sawa Okita (Tari Tari)

8.) Takenaka Hanbei (Oda Nobuna no Yabou)
9.) Millhiore F Biscotti (Dog Days S2)
10.) Lizbeth (Sword Art Online)

Taking first place is “Watashi” from Jintai – a female with a wonderfully witty mind, and admirably morbid attitude. Any who have watched a single episode of Jintai, if no more, should know that she’s clearly of a lofty and superior level of her own – a brave and adventurous heroine with quite a charming way of words. And on top of that, she’s a brilliant intellect – educated in many fields, and fast in thinking up reactions when the situation calls. Not only all of that, aside from being a genius with a lovely personality, she’s a delight on the eyes as well.

Essentially, Jintai’s lead female is what one would call “perfect” – and she indeed is deserving, and then some, of being ranked first in a contention as this, definitely being better than the rest.

In second, it’s unclear how a sack of garbage got separated from its friends and ended up on this listing of the top heroines of the summer season – yet Sword Art Online’s lead female certainly isn’t worthy whatsoever. She’s contributed little to her series, or anything in general for that matter – and boasts a banal persona true to the very essence of generic anime girls. Likewise, her appearance is amusingly unoriginal – and even side-characters of her series beat her out in any given category or metric.

Akkarin’s achievement of third is quite a gag in need of no explanation – one can’t exactly say she’s unfitting for the position of third, although it’s more of a joke than anything.

Tari Tari’s main female, who sits at fourth, is perhaps indeed entitled to a position top five – albeit only as summer hasn’t many respectable series, and subsequently, heroines to begin with. However, she certainly should not be over Kokoro Connect’s cute and pseudo-powerful Inaban – who ranks fifth. Admittedly however, while far less than she’s earned, at least she’s still within the top five.

As for the remainder of the list beyond there, it merely looks like a mess – the summer season is indeed, and unfortunately, quite lacking in terms of series and lovable characters.
