Fate/Zero’s second Blu-ray box is boasting a comedic gag trailer to aide in its promotional campaign – a video which, just as with the first BD set, turns the typically serious 2-D cast into lighthearted victims of jest.
Of course, with the general disposition of this marketing piece being upbeat and colorful – it means moe would be more appropriate in place of sorrow, darkness, and brooding. And indeed, the video is spearheaded by the cuteness of Irisviel – filling the screen with her gentle presence, however, seemingly not meaning that the clip is automatically excluded of violence and bleeding.
This video is packed with gunfire and all manner of horrid brutality, such as sanguine spilling from the eye sockets – although it’s all presented in a very propelled fashion which doesn’t even take itself seriously.
Of all prevalent aspects however, one can and should be most thankful for the return of the bishoujo outfitted in visibly no more than a track jacket – she’s incredibly adorable, and to have her playful attitude in conjunction with the always delightful Irisviel, one can confirm that indeed, even when it comes to moe, Fate/Zero still succeeds above all. Although, even with expectations surpassed, it’s not as if any less was anticipated – Ufotable has proven themselves impervious to failure after all.
Now the only remaining issue, even if one wanted to purchase the Blu-ray box set, the price of approximately $450 USD or so is not particularly inviting or friendly.

The trailer itself is already hilarious. Now I’m really looking forward to the 2nd BD Box.
Some lighthearted parody like this is just the right dose for alleviating the magnitude of tragedy in the series.
And it looks like business is a-booming for Irisviel this time.

Trailer looks better than everything else airing right now.

It may be worth $450

Since Amazon JP has sales price, it’s around $333 – and add shipping, $400. I don’t imagine many would want one half without the other – so the total Blu-ray cost of Fate/Zero would be $800. Is it worth it?
I personally would not pay $800 for optical media disks of Japanese animation.

X from Y on Z would say it’s worth it. The same guy who says the cost is only a week’s worth of his salary and has only seen it once that time he actually bought the BD set. Feel free to hate the D-bag. He apparently has no problems taking the set with him to college, so feel free to steal from him (I listened to his podcast. He has that “you aren’t an anime fan if you haven’t watched XYZ” attitude. So I feel no remorse)

I realize you have no ill-intention, although I must point out we strictly do not allow advertising, intentional or otherwise, hyperlink or plain text – so some names were removed.
Though in any case, I’m apathetic about quite a few things – the spending habits of strangers being one of them.

I would love some more Carnival Phantasm episodes with the Fate/Zero cast….
No, I would love more Irisviel in anything, period.

imagine what would ensue if Irisviel was still alive in the fate series

Nice…so Caster does look decent without the toad eyes.
