A short preview clip has been released highlighting the generic moeblob romance aspect of “Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!” – meaning the more unoriginal, washed out, and dried half of the series found abundantly.
Another “boy meets girl” romance with recycled character designs isn’t a particularly promising concept whatsoever – although either way, this series is still coming forward with little else to show. The video is merely a collective slosh of overly dramatic awkward moments with the obvious weight of potential love hovering over – in fact, just basing on this single half-minute segment, one could even say the series appears terrible.
However, there is perhaps a slight slither of hope prevalent in the delusional action scenes, as well as all other manner of ecstatic and over-the-top antics – which ideally, will be a prominent force throughout the series. Then again however, thinking of it like that, it sounds as if being too optimistic perhaps – as undoubtedly, the highschool setting will flourish foremost unfortunately.
And even overlooking whatever may unfold in terms of plot, the character design will still remain as grotesquely unimaginative as it currently is – a factor which will act as a constant stabbing pain from start to finish.
Essentially, there’s no way to avoid the lesser qualities of this series – even if it comes with any finer few. Nonetheless however, this still seems more worthwhile an animation to sample upon debut, versus other questionable series, given the studio is relatively respected more than the usual.

No.

You will see ;) There isn’t any plot (the cases are useless and boring at hell) in Hyouka but the animation is good. This one seems to have a plot and a good animation.

I think it’s the other way around – while I agree “the cases are useless and boring at hell”, they at least develop the characters, which is fascinating, and not to mention, it’s all unique. The animation is also vastly superior to most series out there in general. In the case of Chuunibyo, it just looks like copied and pasted character designs to a #5 on the menu story – albeit with good animation.
Yet indeed, we will see.

Somehow that eyedrops scene reminds me of the legendary toothbrush scene from Nise.
