A rather interesting Magi key visual has become available carrying two particular points of fascination – the first being the appearance of some characters formerly unseen, and the second being the arrangement.
Examining the illustration, one can note the unfamiliar faces spread across it – all of whom are specifically of the female type, and located off to the right. Now while certainly intriguing that a variety of different girls seem to have been added in the confirmed list of characters, one should also question this layout. Surely, there’s meaning and reason why these females are all set aside to a single direction – and for that matter, there’s a purpose behind the placement of everyone.
The blue haired shota is our protagonist – yet surprisingly, he’s not foremost in front. Instead, the leading spot is hijacked by his friend – a blade equipped blonde who seems rather straightforward and confident.
It’s not too easy a task to distinguish friend and foe here – our leading male pair both look as if they’re quite lively and bothered by little to nothing. To the left, there’s several characters, with a violet-haired fellow accented larger above the rest, wearing a visage of neutrality – and then to the right, a character with a face which appears mischievous. Those two speak for themselves in terms of implication – and perhaps those below them are their followers, although aside from that, there’s not much else one can figure based on this alone.
Nonetheless, it is however just worth pointing out the slave girl, the third in the party of protagonists, is off to the left – seemingly having a level of importance, yet not on the same level as that of the blonde or blue-haired shota.
With the date of release coming soon, this illustration is certainly a rather fine means of inciting some last second questioning and speculation around the plot and what it will carry.

now after i saw this poster…..i started to wonder will it be nice or not….coz the 3 person with chinese chothing were supposed to appear later on….but now they r showing them so soon…so i think there will be alot of skipping

I hope it’s 3-cour or more since I don’t like heavily screwed-up adaptations and I’m hoping it mostly stays faithful to the manga with little to no amount of anime-original material.

I’d like to be optimistic, although A-1 Pictures’ ongoing series is awful – and as someone mentioned before, the script is being handled by the same fellow who did Accel World and Guilty Crown.
