A fairly respectable artwork featuring a few members of Little Busters’ female half has been released – now proving particularly outstanding, although certainly looking decent in modern time’s standard of moe.
Perhaps it’s the distortion of the photo, although one can’t necessarily note anything one way or the other with this illustration – there’s no notably poor elements, although nothing is beyond average either. Much could be improved from the color, to the line and form – yet as it stands, there’s not much reason to ridicule it. It does indeed look awfully dull and not too original – although it works.

Looking forward to the anime. Has anyone played/read the VN? I was thinking about giving it a shot. Though I’m strapped for time these days and as long as It’s not like Ever 17: The Out of Infinity, I should be good.

The VN is pretty good. Standard key stuff, but it has a pretty damn strong finish. Not as awesome omfg as Clannad, but good nonetheless. However it’s similar to E17 in that there are side routes you have to complete before unlocking the really good stuff at the end. Each individual route is not that long, but it adds up. How much you like each route varies from person to person, but if you’re going to read LB it’s highly recommended you get to the end. Reading only a few routes and stopping is like not reading all of E17 or stopping before Clannad After Story.

adding on to that : only the memorial version and the EX version contain the 3 extra refrain routes.

Whoa 3 extra refrain routes!? That’s news to me. Well I’m only interested in the Rin route, but that’s something to look out for.

I’m watching this for Kud.

I’ve played the VN, and i’m bit disappointed with the changes of several characters.
See this as comparison:

They changed Masato and Kyousuke.. :(
If you already played the VN, probably you won’t expect much from the anime.

The visuals have looked inferior for quite a while:

Good to see nothing has improved since the series’ announcement, that’s always promising.
Sep 7, 2012 @ 1:30 CDT
so this is also a disappointment? i was hoping there something good about it….since its from Key’s
Sep 7, 2012 @ 2:14 CDT
LB! isn’t disappointing. It’s usual Key stuff, and if you like Key stuff, you will enjoy the VN.
We don’t know about the anime yet.
Sep 7, 2012 @ 13:30 CDT
The visual novel is solid as far as I know – the anime doesn’t look particularly on par.

If you want someone to blame, you can direct it to J.C Staff

The girls I think it’s ok, but for the boys… (;_;)
Sep 7, 2012 @ 13:32 CDT
dammit, if only KyoAni wasn’t crazed with moeblob and instead worked on this series!…
Sep 7, 2012 @ 13:33 CDT
Little Busters! isn’t moeblob enough, which probably explains why they didn’t want to do it.
Sep 7, 2012 @ 13:34 CDT
Little Busters remake with KyoAni plox
Sep 7, 2012 @ 13:45 CDT
KyoAni: Denied, we only do moeblob
Sep 7, 2012 @ 15:24 CDT
They probably have a poster in their office somewhere for motivation – “Go moe, or go home.” with a picture of a colossal moeblob bursting forward.
Sep 8, 2012 @ 4:12 CDT
They also probably fired those who went against only moeblob
Dialogue:(while at a meeting)
Man A: When will we stop making moeblob and return to the good old days of making something like Clannad or FMP?
KyoAni:*stares* I’m sorry, but we will no longer be needing you as of today.
Man A: Eh?
Sep 8, 2012 @ 3:18 CDT
After the Endless 8 bullshit they tried to pull they probably got cold feet to do anything else that wouldn’t guarantee them profit…
And moeblob = profit.
