Life-sized servants and masters made an appearance at an exhibition of the Fourth Holy Grail War – a showing of a few Fate/Zero characters and scenes recreated quite naturally to scale to commemorate the epic.
Of course, this isn’t anything which the mere presence of would evoke a fit of anxious admiration – however, it’s indeed certainly quite a welcome sight to see the many respectable, and less reputable, characters of Fate/Zero now standing amongst us. As one will notice, the more prominent individuals seem to be crafted from a more stable, and depth embedded material, likely wax – all the while, the lesser seem to be cut from cardboard.
As result of the mixture in medium, this showcase is quite a split between awe-inciting, as well as simply amusing – seeing certain characters who carried a heavier aura in the series now replicated in heavy-duty paper, it diminishes their character to something of a gag.
Moving along however, perhaps the most pleasing portion of the event comes kimono clad – versus a third dimensional Saber, at least when made of wax and looking as seen here, she’s unfortunately no match for some “real” 3-D girls. In the end, it seems it’s best to keep everyone to their respective dimensions unfortunately – as interesting as such a transition would be.
Yet in all seriousness, quite a fine event overall for the more compassionate fans of the series – which is nearly everyone who has seen or experienced it.
