Those eager to see Operation Vivid Red’s mediocre artwork and character designs can enjoy several recently released illustrations featuring just that – alongside the confirmation of a January 2013 debut.
Looking immediately above, it seems Hibiki from the iDOLM@STER is the latest character to join the cast of Operation Vivid Red – and whilst the character design is awfully banal in terms of physical composition alone, the ensembles and fashion selection only further degrade the overall appearance of the character. It’s as if A-1 Pictures is incapable of conjuring up a fine outfit, or perhaps they’re already aware and expecting this series to have nothing else to profit off of aside from female bodies – thus, they’ve simply decided to remove any articles of clothing.
There’s too much of a forced effort to inject female physique and breasts into this series, something occurring with many a series of modern day actually – and of course, it fails every time. And a likely reason as to why a studio would make such an effort is that the series hasn’t anything else to offer to begin with.
The concept is already crying as being pitifully generic – and it seems “Operation Vivid Red” isn’t bound to be anything more than females in their underwear engaging in tactical combat action as if they were elite militia operatives.
This series will arrive paired with the new year – although it’s hardly worth keeping in mind with the many superior works coming that time as well.

I’m looking forward to this, and I’m hoping the mecha musume will be there.

Where did you get mecha musume from? The hover motorcycle things?
Aug 28, 2012 @ 12:02 CDT
I think the show will have mecha musume due to a ridiculous premise and the females’ clothing.

Reminds me of Strike Witches. This could be a good thing. This could be a bad thing.

I think it would be a bad thing but I’ll enjoy it for mecha musume and PLOT.

You’re jumping to the assumption that it will have a plot.

I don’t know, I just say I can speculate mecha musume (that has nothing to do with the hover motorcycles which were also there) and a plot that little offer to anything besides mecha musume, aliens and science.

I’m hype for hibiki look-a-like.
