As Persona 4′s 10th optical media volume has emerged, as has a comparison chart squaring it against the televised version – showing the Blu-ray to contain new scenes, alongside enhanced picture details.
Without getting too explicit, pointing out one of the more prominent revisions seen below, take notice of the protagonist’s visage in the third pair of frames below – whilst more stretched out in terms of width on the TV airing, the optical media rendition corrected the shape to be more realistic and much less distorted. One can see that this fix was applied across the board – and those familiar with past comparisons also know that such was adjusted within previous volumes as well, a consistent correction across the entire series.
That said, skip over to the panned-in view of the megane clad female’s face – there’s some very brazen distinctions in the facial structure, most apparent being the upscaling of the pupils, shifted hair strand positions, sharper shadow, and refined smudge on her face.
Now another matter, one can see the addition of a few minor segments – sure to be of interest to those who admire the series. Yet that aside, it’s quite intriguing how heavily this series has been developed upon for the disk release – and not only that, yet also in how uniform they’ve all been, providing a similar boost in visual caliber, practically rewriting the experience delivered without the need for much fresh additions.
Another solid Persona Blu-ray overall – adding to the collection.

Are the white shots on the left blank due to nothing being there for the TV airing?

Too bad the American Blu-Rays only have ENGLISH DUBS!!! FUCK YOU SENTAI FILMWORKS!!!
Lol I’ll still get this on DVD though, because they have dual audio. Can you imagine what would happen if they didn’t include these updates on the DVD?

The DVDs would be pretty worthless.
