Blu-ray volume five of Nisemonogatari, the final of the set, is finally stirring – and this allows one to now witness the conclusive battle between Shurararagi, and strange older women, in its uncensored sadistic form.
To the left is the sight as seen on optical media, meanwhile, to the right is the televised airing – and indeed, the TV variant was truly babied down to meet all manner of public regulation. The full uncut rendition of this fight contains instances of flesh tearing apart, blood gushing everywhere, internal organs being molested, and a display overall rather vomit inducing from the sheer grotesque nature of it all.
And of course, all that brutality occurs merely upon Arararagi – a painful endeavor indeed.
The contention seemed quite sickening when it aired censored on television – yet to witness it unrestricted as seen here, it truly looks that the elder woman wasn’t holding back whatsoever. In any normal circumstance, obviously, Shuraragi would be more than dead following the pounding he received – he’d have been totally desecrated upon his grave. And while the woman did offer some warnings beforehand, she’s apparently true to her word – and rather heartless at that.
In any case however, one can at least find respite in knowing that the ending is most favorable.

Teenage Shinobu is just SO HOT.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 12:32 CDT
Yes she is
Aug 22, 2012 @ 23:20 CDT
Shinobu is always hot
Aug 23, 2012 @ 4:38 CDT
Yes, but as a teenager she is SO HOT.
Aug 23, 2012 @ 14:15 CDT
I prefer her voluptuous 28 year old complete form. The curves are important, my friend
Aug 23, 2012 @ 14:27 CDT
It’s a difficult decision between curves and flat chest.
Aug 23, 2012 @ 16:36 CDT
I’m afraid that the previous sentence makes no sense whatsoever….
Aug 23, 2012 @ 21:55 CDT
Life doesn’t make sense.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 11:52 CDT
Oh my…that guro action, as expected from the BD, must buy it now, because this is my favorite part.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 14:07 CDT
This is vastly more than imagined – which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 12:40 CDT
i had completely forgotten how awesome that part was.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 13:43 CDT
Man that looks so good.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 15:15 CDT
I still reel from his fight with Rainy Devil. The bright neon colors staning in for blood, made it, to my mind, even nastier….
Aug 22, 2012 @ 15:59 CDT
I think that I would have found that scene much more gruesome if I wasn’t confused out of my mind why Arararagi (I stuttetered) was being thrown around by his neon pink covered intestines.

It’s better than having decapitation by a clown monster thing.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 19:42 CDT
Are you talking about Tsuhiki and “I said with a posed look”? Where she used that finger of doom? If so, that was detorsoation….
Aug 22, 2012 @ 19:50 CDT
Madoko Magico.
Aug 23, 2012 @ 6:47 CDT
When you bite the head off an animal cracker, do you call it decapitation?
Aug 23, 2012 @ 9:03 CDT
No, I reserve that word on things with flesh, membranes, or living spirit.
Aug 27, 2012 @ 12:10 CDT
No, I call it eating.
Aug 27, 2012 @ 12:13 CDT
You tell ‘em Anon.

This is why Shaft’s works are justifiably one of the few bluray releases worth getting. They air incomplete episodes so the blurays feel like you’re watching a whole new episode. It’s always exciting to see what they fix, add or cut.
Aug 22, 2012 @ 22:41 CDT
Man i can’t wait to get this!!! awesome collection to have, to bad im poor as fuck right now!
Aug 23, 2012 @ 3:47 CDT
Well…this episode is more gruesome than I recall. I think I’ll end up purchasing the bluray’s solely for the better animations.
I think P4: The Animation had something similar in the artwork and angle changes…am I right or not?
By the way, would these dvd’s come with english subs or not?

Persona 4 updated all the visages and made everything more realistic.
