Second season of friendless harem anime, “Haganai“, has been confirmed to be debuting as soon as January 2013 – leaving only a season’s worth of space in between till joining the winter lineup of 2012 – 2013.
This announced airing date isn’t too surprising – yet it still however does admittedly feel quite immediate, especially in relation to the actual decision of a second season. Although to be fair, a second season was likely at least being contemplated since long before then – if nothing else. Regardless of that detail however, it’s certainly something worth looking forward to – there’s no better way to start the year than indecisive romance comedies.

I hope Sena wins.

I’m in Yozoras team.

Interestingly, Kodaka’s indecisiveness is a massive characterization point – it has everything to do with his social insecurity.

One of the few fitting instances of indecisiveness.

I’d like to say Yozoryo would win – although these series always look down upon the character with smaller oppai.

Ahh nothing like pretty bishoujos to start the new year

He will marry Sena at the end anyway. Her marriage offer is a big chance to get happiness and love in his life. And he really wants that. He liked her from the beginning. She is honest and he can trust her fully. His social insecurity is completely gone if she is around him.

Poor choices in life, this kid.

Well, if you are always afraid of getting hurt by other people and you find a person you can trust so well that you don’t have this feeling any more I would consider that this is a perfect relationship anyone can be envious about.

Certainly can’t disagree with that, although that’s not to say there isn’t more to the matter. I’d assume it helps also if Kodaka’s preferences were of the reader’s when speaking in reference to the novels.

But the childhood friend never wins guys.
Though I haven’t read the LN yet…

The childhood friend is invincible in Ramune.

Rather, I think it’s the first girl the protagonist meets always wins. In this case, it is in fact the childhood friend

Yozora was also a childhood friend…

This image inclines yuri…
Looking forward to S2 :)
I enjoyed S1, so am wondering how they’ll go in S2. Maybe more focus on interaction between Yozura and Kodoka, as he recently (as in last few eps) learnt of her being his childhood friend?

It’ll be the light novel recreated in anime form probably – which isn’t very favorable for the general audience.
