Madoka Magica’s upcoming film has been confirmed to have a new character – a flail wielding magical girl with an appearance reminiscent to the regular Sayaka, albeit with a grey, lifeless, and ambiguous personality.
In the colored and unhindered view of the girl, she seems quite stale – although in a manner which looks as if she’s more so being suppressed, rather than she hasn’t anything to express at all. The silhouette shows an alternative form of the girl – and she appears as if she were a completely demented sadist, particularly in preferred choice of weapon, as well as how it is she has it held. Whatever the case, this character has certainly earned some attention.

Raider Gundam’s ‘Mjornir’ meteor hammer from Gundam Seed, though the weapon type is a bit different. The Witch King of Angmar’s flail from TLOTR3 would be a closer example.
