A provocative, pantsu emphasizing, To Love-Ru Darkness mousepad which originally came as a mere magazine extra is now being auctioned for over 100,000 yen – with otaku fighting at prices in excess of $1600 USD.
Yahoo Japan’s auction service is being flooded by mousepads from those looking to capitalize upon the weak, pitiable souls of otaku – and those otaku happen to be battling to procure the mousepads in question through currency, slapping down thousands upon thousands of yen for a single one, with the auction even still having time to spare. The mousepad was originally a possible prize with a certain issue of Jump SQ released earlier in the year – and indeed, the winners of said mousepad have certainly gained quite a reward.

i admit that is a pretty nice mousepad but $1600 is just way way too much.

Another case that shows the otakus’ amazingly wealthy assets.
Though it was nowhere near as creepy as the case of a certain hardcore AKB48 otaku who spent 110000$ to buy 5000 of the same CD.

Making anime goods seems to be an easy money making way.
