Comiket 82 will be arriving with goods from Ufotable, and they’re bringing an extensive collection of Fate/Zero production material – ranging from OP and ED key visual sketches, to general key frame stills.
Much like the Bakemonogatari setting and visual book, this is the sort of product which many venture to Comiket to secure – meaning there’s likely to be more than a few individuals camping in wait merely to snag a book packed with Ufotable’s aesthetic expertise as exhibited within Fate/Zero, and of course, it’s definitely bound to sell out immediately, with good reason.
Within these available sample items above and below, one can already see how phenomenal the artwork will be within merely a single page of these Fate/Zero key visual books – yet as much should have actually been understood from simply watching the anime. Then again however, it’s truly something else to be seeing the immense detail in its most basic form as one can then see the full extent of intricacy prevalent. For instance, there’s a multitude of abstract shapes composing Gilgamesh’s armor – and those lines assembling his visage are stunningly precise.
Looking below to the servant Rider, it takes a mastery of light and relevant concepts to be able to illustrate shadow so exact and realistically as that – and again, the level of detail is fascinating in every way.
It’s quite unfortunate that only a few will be able to enjoy the wonders of these works – nonetheless, they’re certainly marvelous to see.
