Renowned doujin circle, “Sound Holic”, has released a trailer for their upcoming Comiket 82 release of “Touhou PVD3″ – a collective of Touhou based anime music videos featuring original animation sequences.
Several songs are sampled within this preview clip – and of course, the music is all novel as well, consisting of arranges inspired by various selections from the Touhou series. And not only that, the tunes carried within this creation are quite a diverse set of songs as well – ranging from the genres of jazz to rock, and others, all predominantly with lyrics assembled by Sound Holic main man, “Blue E”.
Similarly, the aesthetics are astoundingly varied amongst the music clips – being composed from a mixture of simpler Flash animation, to full outright and stunning 3-D. And as result of the extensive effort on a magnificent scale, this collective of music videos manages to boast everything from chibi, to illustrations of pure refined excellence, in a manner tending to every taste one could have – be it a craving for cuteness, or simply a desire to see something of awe inspiration.
Indeed, this is a testament to how “anime music videos” should be done – creative combinations of original sound and visual giving tribute to the source which they’re devised after. It’s merely bonus in the case of Sound Holic that their vivid self-expression succeeds in being of such an immense quality.
Altogether, the clips total about half an hour and debut at the upcoming Comiket 82 – yet it’s also worth noting this product may be spotted at certain doujin-friendly online retailers.

Comiket 82 hasn’t even arrived yet, and there’s a lot of hype worth content releasing. It’s great to see that while not a new album addition to the Swing Holic series, that there is something to bring to the next big event.
As anyone might agree with, any work from S/Holic is definitely worth investing into.
