An illustration has been released for Hayate no Gotoku’s latest coming installment dubbed “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” – and aside from the name being the terrible, one can rest assured the artwork is too.
It’s not necessarily that the artwork is flawed, and the fact that the characters look significantly different can be backed by the series being unrelated to those of past – however, it’s quite an issue when the protagonist who formerly looked rather solid all-around in design now suddenly has a feminine visage, with an unattractive smile.
Even with that considered however, again it should be said, as this is a new series entirely, having nothing carried over from the previous animations of Hayate no Gotoku, one can’t exactly speak less of it for such differences as there isn’t any standard in place – and there’s no sight of any element notably lacking too heavily in itself as of yet. Nonetheless, one can still say, based off the visuals, name, and entire concept of this upcoming series, that it doesn’t appear to be a particularly clever idea – and its degree of success is quite questionable.
One was hoping for some continued gags and Hinagiku, although with that not being the case, it’s quite difficult to see any favorable future for this anime series. At least on a meaningless note however, the annoying and unlikable blonde haired loli still looks much the same – splendid news for those three or four individuals who happen to like her.
This series starts within October of this year, and one can’t help but think its failure begins then as well.

Wow. If Manglobe is going to make the third season the same quality as the movie was I’m going to be very sad. Now I kind of wish J.C.Staff was handling it again.
Unless Manglobe puts more Hinagiku in it, then I’m totally fine.

I will give this a try, but it looks like this series will be going with the less than impressive model of the second season instead of the successful method of the first.
