An elemental workshop.

A second season of the harem filled with supposedly friendless individuals, Haganai, has been announced and confirmed as upcoming – making for some splendid, yet relatively anticipated news all can enjoy.

It’s doubtful a second season would be particularly beyond the first in that the story isn’t suddenly going to pour in and flood the place – the most likely case for which one should prepare is simply something no different than what the first season offered, yet with a portrayal of the appropriate source material, and more than likely, an amplified package of gags.

Hope we get more Yozora than Niku.

    did not see this coming

Agreed. Figured they’d wrapped it up nicely with season one. Then again, haven’t read the manga so there could be more story material there…

There’s still plenty of material – and even though I liked the first season, I don’t particularly like the idea of a second season. I’d not be surprised if this second season lacks even a slight hint of plot and becomes totally service and gag oriented.

Must happen- vampire loli (wincest)end, holy loli end, ecchi genius end, “yaoi” end. Screw the niku and childhood friend, I have loli.

In the ideal ending, the girls turn yuri for each other and the male lead is forgotten about.

Even if this becomes an only-gag anime, I won’t care. I hardly like harems but this one was an exception. I liked the characters, even though I have no clue why. It was a great anime, high hopes for the second season!

I’d still like it if it’s a gag only anime as well – rather, I’m just hoping the quality doesn’t degrade over a transition to a second season. That occasionally happens with a few series.

I hope the second season will also conclude the whole story if the next novel is supposed to be the last one.

And I suppose we will see a marriage ending, because there were so many hints within the novel and the intentions from the author being a former loner himself. A marriage ending would be truly satisfying.

The believed “final volume” was released a while back and it turned out the official summary for it was purposefully misleading – the series continues on.

As I said… the “next volume” – Vol. 9 could be the end.

At the end of Vol. 8 Kodaka is announcing that the story up until was a mere prologue and that the real story now beings. A story about love and romance.

But don’t misunderstand – he is referring to his own life being a prologue up until now and he is now ready for a new part of his life – he want to experience romance and love.

But this also means that the story will conclude after the relationships are finally settled.

I don’t expect that the Light novel will go much further than this. All are friends, and Kodaka has finally found a place where he belongs – a female partner.
