An elemental workshop.

Available now is the first PV for upcoming imouto incest slice of life, “Oniai” – and unlike the vast majority of little sister romance series, this one actually holds solid promise for an extensive multitude of reasons.

Right upon starting the clip, the superior animation vibrantly fills the screen – this series is coming courtesy of Silver Link, and with Silver Link’s impressive offering last season with Tasogare Otome, as well as their current ongoing title of Kokoro Connect, which is entirely annihilating standards and expectations in every way imaginable, it seems to be only common sense that this upcoming creation will be a renowned work as well.

This series revolves around an imouto who loves her onii-chan – with one particularly emphasized facet being that she’s actually quite proud of this fact not readily accepted in general society.

The PV’s beginning seconds will acquaint one to the full house of characters, starting with the imouto heroine of course, and one can’t help but notice the animation to be more fluid than water as Silver Link makes a symphonic ballet of physical notions and gestures. With the group given their moment of fame, the video then gives each character some more singular spotlight by means of beautiful scenes straight from the anime intermixed amongst stylish and contemporary patterns for added effect – for an overall wonderful promotional video.

And it should be mentioned, one can hardly praise Silver Link enough for taking the often seen element of whiny little sister character motions, and turning it into a personality packed defining highlight – with the slight trip she has whilst running away specifically being a plain magnificent detail as it simply showers the screen with individuality.

Oniai debuts this autumn, and never would one have thought a little sister based harem series would be capable of turning one feverish with excitement and enthusiasm for its arrival.

This also has the same director and character designer as Mayo Chiki, which I enjoyed quite a bit.

Looks like the imouto will be voiced by a newcomer. Also, I really enjoyed the music.

So imouto is blood related to her onii-chan? If not then this fails.

I hope they are. But even if that did crop out again, I think I’d still watch this show…Imouto is a sacred occupation after all, blood-related or not.

I don’t see why it matters either way so long as there isn’t the usual hesitations and recycled romance elements.

From the disaster, Tayutama… to this…
IM SO PROUD OF YOU SILVER LINK!

Silver Link’s aesthetic and animation quality is untouchable – they only needed to amp the story, and they moved up to around above average with Tasogare Otome, yet with Kokoro Connect, they’ve gone to the stars and beyond.

No studio has as much potential as them at this point – and if Kokoro Connect concludes successfully, which it sure looks like it will, they’ll be officially at the top of the hill overall.
