An elemental workshop.

Adding to those already unveiled, more key visuals have come of Little Busters’ upcoming animation – a prevalent issue seemingly being that the designs look splendid till they’re colored and details deteriorate.

As covered in the past, the achromatic sketches are quite grand – the overall illustration is intricate in composition, with the shadow being rather precisely arranged, offering a subsequent striking depth. The many elaborate areas of each plain drawing will definitely capture the eye with ease – at which point, one will certainly manage to grasp the extent of it all, making it clear how much seems to fade upon transition to the colored and final imagery.

It’s not a shock that many of the finer facets blend when of color – rather, there’s two particular points of dissatisfaction. First of all, the visage in its current state seems as if simply part of a blob rather than a properly defined shape – the value is lacking specifically in the area where head meets neck. There’s actually many points of deficiency which have been compared previously – yet nothing too disastrously ruining of the anime series.

And on another note, assuming this isn’t simply a cause of the photo or page lighting, the skin tone is severely bland – looking like a “one size fits all” pale hue poured atop of every character. Even standing in the sun, no one’s skin becomes so lifeless – and if such only applied to one person, that’d not be nearly as troubling, yet it truly seems everyone has the exact identical skin tone.

Preferably, these concerns prove unfounded when the anime arrives – yet of course, they don’t aide expectation.
