Amazon JP is holding a public voting period in which it is encouraging everyone to partake in its quest to determine the eroge with the greatest “scenario” – insisting how crucial such a facet is to ero-games.
A special voting page has been made which highlights all the usual relevant details of the contest at hand – with the most prominent specific likely being the mention that voting initiated recently, and concludes at the end of the month, with result posted on August 3rd.
After the introductory information, there’s a comprehensive listing to the Amazon product pages of all the contending erotic game products – and then finally, the voting portion is laid out. The “voting form” is highly straightforward – providing a single survey question regarding one’s experience with eroge, which is then followed by a colossal listing of all the many candidates of salacious entertainment in question, a list also quite useful for any who may have ever wanted a reference of such titles to enjoy.
The voting section is then concluded with a comment box asking for a short answer of “Why” the user decided on their selection of eroge – topped off with the ever-necessary “Submit” button.
This peculiar event is certainly interesting despite being unusual – eroge is definitely not for everyone, although they are significant to some extent, and for various reasons. One of such purposes eroge can be viewed as meaningful, even to those who do not partake in their pleasure, is that many an anime series are adapted from eroge – now also do recall that Amazon JP is explicitly wishing individuals to vote based on what eroge they believe has the most superior “scenario”, or in other words, storyline.
With the prestige of Amazon in general, and their fearsome marketing prowess, it’s a whole lot more than plausible they will manage to acquire some serious statics from this venture – something which one can only wonder what greater purpose will they use them for.

“I came” is what mostly comes to mind.

As a side-note, the more popular eroges are listed nearer the bottom – such as Fate/Stay Night, Mashiro-iro Symphony, Hoshizora, and Majikoi.
There’s no Dracu-Riot! though…
