An elemental workshop.

Upcoming ultra-generic shounen superpower anime, Code:Breaker, has received a PV for its first episode in case any out there actually intend to watch it – confirming that the series is indeed conventional.

This preview video could not be any more remedial than it currently is – there’s talk of evil and demons, something not seen in an anime since, perhaps, yesterday. And during this nonsensical chatter, which is seemingly being directed to no one in particular as speaking to oneself is quite a staple of shounen anime, the camera flies through an assortment of scenes and backgrounds at high speed – all of which are lacking of detail and poorly illustrated, quite fitting when taking into account the similar character designs.

A fair portion into the video, one will be greeted with the sight of some character who is too bland to specifically identify – and the fact that he’s surrounded with an ambiguous burning blue “power” certainly doesn’t assist one in realizing anything aside from that this is a horrible shounen series.

Better yet, there’s even some gloves, needless dramatics, “stare into my eyes” action, and apparently, a totally bulletproof protagonist who is immune to all and everything indiscriminately.

Even with all of that however, the shining jewel is certainly the music in the background – a theme of symphony all so standard, one can watch the entire video and not even notice it’s there till the visuals go black.

All things considered, this is looking to be an amazingly awful experience.

You know what’s funny… it’s possible that [K] will be something similar to this <.<

    • Seven says:

Except the difference is the transcendental character designs, intricate setting and backgrounds, glorious music, seemingly original characters, complex points of plot mystery, elaborate character relationships, and general aura of superiority.

But yeah, aside from that, they’re pretty similar.

Did you read the manga until you realize it looks shit as expected ?

    • Seven says:

Not sure what the manga has to do with the animation…

Though I agree “it looks shit as expected” – I never was anticipating anything more beyond sub-par to begin with.

I wonder how did you find it shit just because you read the manga version or not, as C;B is adapted from manga.

Do you look forward to a upcoming fall noitaminA anime called Psycho-Pass ?

    • Seven says:

Currently neutral – there’s not enough information, although noitaminA is usually good.

I saw the first preview though it was only a gun showing with glowing lights. But I’m waiting for the second preview. I think it’ll be release sometime this year. But all I know is that Psycho-Pass will be coming in October.

      • Seven says:

If the anime debuts October, then a second PV would debut before October, assuming one existed – and it’ll likely show more than a gun, or at least preferably.

This is one I have been waiting on. I hope they dont ruin the plot from the manga like they did with vampire bund.

Well I thought Code;Breaker manga was pretty good…a little chuunibyou, perhaps, but not something I’d call horrible.
