An elemental workshop.

As 88 visuals remain, the K-Project has projected attention upon the jacket wearing red-haired fireblazer, as well as his skateboarding companion – doing well to reiterate simply how crucial their roles are.

Unfortunately, it was unclear exactly what position either of these two played in the story within past pre-release material, and even up till now, it’s not become apparent – however, insinuations and speculations would deem that these two, who are viewed by the blue crew as “antagonists”, are actually not villainous or anything of the sort. The scene seen above is something taken from the anime – and in fact, one can recall it from one of the PVs, the red-haired fellow was mentioning something about his father.

In general, the fireblazers have their own goal of course – and it’s not evil, they’re merely misunderstood by others. And further, it’s likely that their aspirations happen to conflict with the blue crew – thereby merely leading to physical engagements and more tension.

Focusing on the image once more, the redhead looks to be staring off as if reminiscing – something which he indeed is doing as aforementioned. And as for the skateboarder, it seems that he’s simply attempting to accept everything he’s becoming acquainted with – words or sights. He often wears an expression of uncertainty – and a logical explanation to this is that he’s attempting to figure out his own place within the world.

While it was thought that the skateboarder may be of the foremost leading few, it’s possible that his redheaded friend is one as well as this character has certainly been emphasized the heaviest out of any of the cast members.

The mystery remains in any case – and on another note, English character profiles are available:

    More pointless observation incoming!

“Mikoto-san taught me this.” -Yata Mikami-
This maybe a hint that he was once a normal citizen, and wish to be one again.

“…and we were playing with her, too.” -Kusanagi Izumo-
The latest PV has a scene on which Kushina is staring at spiraling spheres of who-knows-what, supervised by Suoh and Izumo. This might be a hint that she is their disposable pawn (playing with her).

    “Mikoto, don’t go.” -Kushina Anna”
Probably a hint that Kushina is somehow related to Suoh, and the reason why is she there.

I think rather than having been a normal citizen, he had a power he didn’t know how to use – and that jacketed fellow taught him.

I think it’s more like she’s important to them.

He’s probably her guardian or something – onii-chan.
