Code Geass Akito is an upcoming film packed with characters, and flooded with action – and this latest PV provides only a slight overview of the high intensity mecha combat, amongst the child driven politics.
Even if one isn’t too fascinated with highschoolers battling to save the universe and etc., at the very least, the visuals certainly look rather flashy for the better – boasting a variety of effects in a manner both engaging and appropriate as the situation calls. Not to mention, the events themselves are notably quite heavy in mood – life or death battling of colossal mechanical creatures within a city only somewhat holding together.
Worthy of specific note is the scene taking place shrouded in darkness – the fight of mecha versus mecha in a burning forest is the main highlight of the PV. Yet in particular, the point seen at 54 seconds within is perhaps the epitome as it seemingly exhibits the greatest quality of animation to be found – a fluid reaction on part of a mech robot as it’s assaulted with fairly potent projectiles.
As for the remainder of the PV, the predominance of it in general is merely a mixture of the child politics which fail to prove too interesting for most aside from the shounen crowd – though in either case, the action is certainly looking impressive, perhaps enough to justify spending the time on the film.
The movie debuts August 4th – although for the world beyond Japan, it may be a while longer till their chance comes.

Hmm, eagerly looking forward to this OVA. It looks great the visuals and animation. It would be interesting to see the new characters and especially the situation in the EU since none of it is shown in the original Code Geass anime and just left speculative. “More than words” by Maaya Sakamoto is a delight to hear and may prove to be a fitting opening forecasting tragedy. Tragedy is not a new word associated with Code Geass though.

I’m thinking it will end in tragedy.

Could be…but..since most people who have seen Code Geass would think that…there might be a completely different turn of events.Perhaps the writers must’ve thought about this..but then again one there will certainly be many deaths..i mean..the survival rate is like what 5%

Tragedy with a happy ending – or tragedy with an extra bad ending, the entire world is destroyed.

Tragedy with a happy end maybe seeing as this takes place during R1 i.e. the same time as The Black Rebellion. Its a rescue mission so we can assume that the mission is successful but with heavy casualties maybe or in the worst case scenario, even the mission is unsuccessful.

Kinda like the mecha in the previous Code Geass more. Too much CGI I see here… That aside I am looking forward to see more Code Geass ^_^

Well this is around the time of R1 so cant expect to see really advanced mechas..but then again EU originally came up with the concept of knightmare frames so we might see 4th generation ones too..
