Seen on a marketing poster of a collaboration with a local convenient store chain, the magical girls of Madoka Magica all come fitted in their respective festival ensemble – colorful kimonos of relevant hues.
One would have expected them all to wear kimonos matching their hair, though this works quite nicely as well – the colors recur with the advertisement, all the while, also complementing certain other hues present. Most notable, one can see how yellow dominates the image in the form of Mami’s hair, Sayaka’s outfit, and then Homura’s obi ribbon – and the surrounding violet serves to contrast beautifully.
