An elemental workshop.

Another playful “Neko” key visual serves as the 21st of 79 more awaiting within the K-Project’s continuous route to a hundred – we now receive a look at Neko in what would be best described as her “natural state”.

By far, this is the most interesting visual we’ve received – and that’s for a reason which should strike most, even if they’re not explicitly aware. It looks as if this is a frame pulled straight from the actual animation – in which case, the illustrative quality is spectacular and unbelievably beyond most anime series. Not to mention, it appears as if Neko is about to escape the image frame – jumping straight off the canvas, an effect achieved through masterful implementation of depth.

Examining the situation, one can see that this sight is a glimpse within the apartment shared by the long-haired militia member, the white-haired kid, and of course, Neko. And as one can see, Neko looks to have some neko tendencies – to which the long-haired militia fellow isn’t all too pleased to be dealing with. If one were to presume what Neko is glaring at so viciously whilst taking safety atop a chair, it’s likely some sort of rodent or insect.

Focusing on colors, one should note that there’s no solid hues – everything is a gradient, and that’s as all visible tones are reacting to light as appropriate. Shadow is of course a basic of artistry, and present with many a series, yet to see it actually done to this lofty degree of intricacy is quite a rarity.

With 79 more visuals awaiting, the question is whether they will focus on those yet to receive any attention whatsoever, such as a certain hefty motorcycle riding hooded fellow – or will they merely revolve around the same set of three or four from here onward.

That’s a chair? I thought Neko was sitting on some sort of pot at first…
Here’s hoping this is, as you said Seven, a scene from the anime. If so, the visuals will be great :)
Is this done by Silver Link? I’ve read you praising their work on other articles and was wondering…
