As if the 50 or so and counting promotional videos aren’t enough, Lyrical Nanoha 2nd A’s upcoming film is now being marketed across all of Japan with “just a few” different advertisements and banners.
The Akiba homeland is apparently not enough for the magical girl predominant cast of Lyrical Nanoha as they’ve spread literally everywhere in Japan – from Shinjuku to Tokyo, to push interest for this coming movie. Not often, if ever, will one see such a ridiculously overpowered marketing campaign – an effort which spans a nation, infesting its transportation, streets, and even its digital airwaves.
One has to wonder however as to whether any of this will actually pay off – advertising requires a lot more than chump change, and while indeed, it can prove profitable when effectively employed, the mystery is what audience Lyrical Nanoha is still attempting to target. Enough adverts have been released to build a castle – and this excessive boasting of marketing power isn’t informing anyone of anything. All the interested otaku are sure to have already purchased tickets – or placed the film on their list of anticipations.
Indeed, at this point, Lyrical Nanoha’s marketing effort is simply a combination of needless hyping and showing off.
Then again however, modesty is merely preference – even if you’re already at the top. All in all, quite a fascinatingly overdone venture – now hopefully, the film will debut soon as the wait has been nearly as expansive as this propaganda regime.

I know Nanoha has a large following, but it does seem like overkill since that base will likely about it ads or no ads. But still, it’s kinda cool.

Cooler than no ads.
