Yet another PV is stirring for Koi Senkyo to Chocolate, showing the sort of ultra-generic beginning there will be for a male lead conveniently surrounded by a hoard of females who all have a burning lust for him.
Koichoco is not just like one’s typical romance harem – it is, in fact, one’s typical romance harem. That’s certainly not to say it won’t manage to succeed or satisfy in that regard, or others as well – yet there’s no denying the overdone aspects which are nearly painful to watch as they’re so horribly plentiful. Seeing such a harem start, it’s become nearly akin to witnessing a propaganda clip as the repetition is bloated within – and this is in reference to the actual anime itself, not the promotional videos.
Nonetheless, that’s the sort of series this is, be it for better or worse, and one can at least find respite in that the females are highly attractive – with seifukus which seem to favor the viewing audience inclined towards females, and their physique.
Aside from showing how the harem begins, this latest PV also shows some of the subsequent results – such as the protagonist sitting in a room flooded with females, as can be seen a minute and 40 seconds or so into the video. There’s also a highlight on plot to be found in this short clip – the school-wide elections get underway, and from there, it’s protagonist to the rescue. Yet of course, one mustn’t forget that all the while, his harem will be simultaneously developing beyond anything modern science can understand.
Within a day, perhaps two, the abnormal mating period will start up for 2012′s season of summer.

This looks utterly generic…

I’m looking forward to this one : although the story looks basic, I simply loved the watercolor character designs because I find them looking superb and give some dose of eyecandy. Will look forward to see how they handle the forced drama or not.

Well said – the artwork is definitely one area which this series certainly excels.

I thought this would happen when I got older, around 40+ (I’m 22) but it happened sooner. I’m starting to hate anime or at least newer anime. Japan just doesn’t have that energy anymore but the same can be said for media from all countries. Sooo, to dling Banner of the Stars.

Watch some older series maybe? Surely there’s a few good ones you’ve not tried yet.
Haibane Remei perhaps? Though it’d help to know what you like.

While I understand that personal taste changes over time, could it be possible that you are viewing older anime with rose-tinted lenses? Maybe you are growing tired of current anime being similiar to the shows that brought you into this hobbies, making you feel that you are watching the same thing over and over.

“There’s Girls Everywhere” works if the real world has more bishoujos like this, and similar series. But due to social/cultural/religious designs, such dreams can only remain a fantasy…

Reality is horrible.
