K-Project [K] Red-Headed Character Visual

Jun 30, 2012 @ 11:02 CDT

Sixth K-Project key visual of the ongoing series to a hundred features an incredibly important character, and of course, one also ambiguous as usual – the red-headed fireblazing character seen as an antagonist.

There’s actually plenty to note regarding this fellow – and the first is that he’s portrayed as an antagonist within the preview videos. The blue militia crew are seen as the protagonist force, and the fireblazers are seen as the clashing entity – with this fellow pictured above in particular being one of the heavy hitters for the latter.

A safe insinuation to make is that this red-head is like an antagonist variant of the blue militia megane character – and this can be supported by how similar they seem to act, as well as how alike their roles appear to be for their respective parties. Both have an often seen smirk of confidence, and both are exhibited within the PVs to be skilled, and very powerful, front-line combatants for their groups.

That in mind, there’s many a moment in the latest PV showing this character unleashing flames at will, and even distorting space, as he engages in a few attack efforts. It’s curious how a character with the appearance of a street punk has managed to garner such potent supernatural ability.

Nonetheless, continuing with the commonalities, being a more seasoned member of the antagonist crew, it is implied that he’s a mentor to the skateboarder – similarly to how the megane character has an underling of his own. It should also be understood that likewise, this fellow is definitely a crucial character to the series – yet he is likely not a foremost leading character, his skateboarding comrade is, and one can presume this based on the PVs. The skateboarder is seen far more involved in fighting, and even chasing down, some of his enemies – the protagonists.

As one should have realized by now, not a single character of this perpetually enigmatic anime series is without deeper meaning, as well as a critical, irreplaceable role in the grander scheme – with this fellow of crimson hair being yet another which one should certainly keep an eye out for as he’s bound to be doing a lot of steering once this series finally releases, turning the story whatever direction he wills it.

  • There is an old saying in my country: there are no good and evil in a war.
I suspect that the two factions are fighting for the same purpose. (Neko?)
Or maybe the blue militia are the antagonists?

Anyway, I liked everything I saw so far and really hope that this anime becomes memorable.

I believe this was mentioned earlier by lolshack on a different article for this series – though I think the situation with [K] is similar to BlazBlue. Or in other words, there are two factions fighting for the same purpose, just like you’ve said – although they don’t realize they’re working towards the same goal.

They each have their own method of going about their singular objective – and by chance, these methods happen to conflict. In reality, there is no “protagonist” or “antagonist”, they all want the same thing – they each simply see each other in a positive or negative light.
