“Feel” is a studio responsible for works such as Yosuga no Sora, Mayo Chiki, and most recently, Papakiki – now they’ve also been given responsibility for Minami-Ke’s fourth season, yet they’re also working on more.
This studio is quite interesting for several reasons – they’re up and coming, and while one could say their works haven’t been above average or sub-par, they’ve definitely been improving, and they’re certainly skilled at what they do. Surely many know of the names “KissXsis”, as well as “Yosuga no Sora” – and also make this comparison, their single 2011 title was “Mayo Chiki”, which was remedial to the highest degree, yet their first anime of 2012 was Papakiki, a very respectable animation in every way.
They have potential to make something decently splendid as Papakiki does indicate – yet pondering on a larger scale, the studio is seemingly growing in ambition. Papakiki was their first series of 2012 – however, this studio is also the one to be delivering the upcoming generic harem service series, Boku H, and adding that in count with Minami-Ke S4, that means they’ll be outputting a total minimum of three series this year, a feat they’ve not tried since 2008.
Indeed, this growing studio dubbed “Feel” isn’t on the same league as say, Silver Link, another rising studio which has somehow achieved aesthetic transcendence and is gradually becoming skilled in story – yet they are however doing rather well, and in the case of Minami-Ke’s fourth season, their past works actually seem to give them a fitting background both visually, and plot-wise, for the comedic slice of life.
With no reason to feel otherwise, here’s hoping for their success.
