Sword Art Online has received a third short commercial, following up on the others through yet another heightened sense of action enveloping – all the while, highlighting each of the more prominent characters.
Initiating to a resonate vocal, heavy and thundering, the clip proceeds to show flashes of various key characters – each looking distressed. The video then switches into a more responsive mode with protagonist and friends taking up a determined stance – and start swinging artistic blades around furiously, presumably online. The fast atmosphere is most fitting indeed – and quite an adrenaline instigator.
As the video does well to remind, Sword Art Online is to debut July – and again, like with any pre-release material thus far, the series certainly seems wonderful.

I absolutely loathe the character design they made for the anime and that fact hasn’t changed yet but… I’m so looking forward to it anyway! Another great CM, that’s for sure.

Indeed, the character designs look like recycled hash from other designs for other series of the same studio. I feel like I’m watching 10 different series whenever I see something Sword Art Online related.

Exactly my thoughts. And when you add that to the fact that they all have “Working! faces”…
But who cares about that when it has such a nice plot and characters? I just hope they don’t make Asuna too much of a tsundere in the anime (they tend to exaggerate traits like that in anime adaptations).

I can imagine this becoming a restaurant themed musical.
