Fans of sub-par mech action series Rinne no Langrange are sure to be interested by the sight of these drab OVA pre-release images which say little save for the obvious – more mizugis, mechs, and lacking story.
The OVA is looking to meet expectation already as it seems it will deliver a less than decent experience – or it may even go above and beyond, surpassing anticipation, and give a spectacle even more horrid than one can possibly imagine. Unlike pre-release stills of more reputable works, these petty few images from Rinne no Langrange’s unfortunately soon to arrive OVA are very bland – much like the series itself.
Not an ounce of story can be derived from the sight of them as there isn’t much a plot to begin with – and the artwork of the series isn’t anything spectacular. Shadows are severely nonexistant – which as a result, also in turn means depth is devoid from the frames, and intricacies aren’t anywhere to be spotted. The hues, and the entire scene for that matter, feels flat – with the backgrounds being expendable to the point of exemplifying the term “generic”.
Surrounding environments hardly have any, if at all, an effect on character appearances – and most of the backdrops are blurred out, as again, they’re not particularly well-illustrated, significant, or memorable.
Never did the phrase “more of the same” describe anything as well as it does Rinne no Langrange’s OVA – and sadly for the series, “more of the same” means a continuation of an already quality deficient affair.

What else would one expect from a series so tepid it can’t even show a nipple on the BluRay?
May 11, 2012 @ 18:08 CDT
The problem isn’t that it can’t “show a nipple on the Blu-ray” – rather, if it is going to boast service dramatically as it does, then it should decisively stick with it. It’s bad enough the plot and characters are indecisive – the optical media being so as well simply does it no better.
Ultimately however, it’ll never go anywhere if the main plot driving facet remains the phrase “for the Jersey Club!”.

And “maru!”. Can’t forget that.
Yeah, I agree with your analysis. I just wouldn’t expect any improvements from a series that can’t even deliver on the fanservice that surely won them most of their audience.

Oh yes, nearly forgot – the sheer intensity of the story leaves too much to be remembered.
And indeed, you’ve said it as flawlessly as it can be said.

Well it’s a good thing I never actually listened to your rants about Rinne because I found it enjoyable then I saw you praise tripe like DxD and Symphongear and suddenly I don’t feel inadequate

“I never actually listened” “then I saw”
Now maybe you should try actually reading an article and then quote me on where I “praise tripe like DxD”.
As for Symphogear, it has points where it excels – specifically in terms of visuals and sound.
“I don’t feel inadequate”
You probably got used to the feeling.
