Pre-release imagery has been made available for Haganai’s upcoming OVA – showing this much anticipated extra episode to be full of nonsense after all, featuring the entire cast engaging in mech, RPGs, and more.
Essentially, these stills reveal that Haganai’s soon to arrive OVA will be an intermingling of every whimsical gag from the anime – now turned up to the maximum of 11. Scrolling through the images, ridiculous RPG fantasies can be seen first – with Sena’s father apparently playing a part as well, getting intimate with the trap character to make for a few yaoi scenes.
Female favoring otaku needn’t worry however as there seemingly is no shortage of meat in the OVA – and even better, it appears Yozora unleashes a new side which is an odd mix of unamused, sadistic, and unforgiving. Fans of vampires (lolicons in this case) need not be despaired either, as apparently, Vampire Reisys will make an appearance in her much revered “true form”. Not to mention, one can see that the vampire loli is still at odds with the holy loli – an aspect which is sure to be amusing to watch as always.
And from the looks of it, the episode will close off with over the top mech delusions, courtesy of science girl, before subsiding to a serene moment of reminiscence back in reality – and finally, concluding.
While certainly not giving the impression of being the most story-oriented episode of Haganai out there, not there was many of such to begin with, this OVA to debut September 26th still seems to be a wonderful reward for fans of the series as it carries a solid slab of what Haganai is loved for – and perhaps, it may even serve as a fine entry point into the series for enthusiasts of random nonsense with attractive females of all ages and physical builds.
The only item a fan of Haganai could appreciated more than this is a second season of the anime.

Yeah, there’s no complaints with that – though I can’t help but think I would have preferred something more to push the subtle story forward a bit, rather than a gag based mini-chapter.
