Fourth Blu-ray volume of highschool set supernatural thriller, Another, features a pair of mizugi clad females on its cover – a Misaki Mei in sukumizu, alongside a twintailed tsundere girl in blue side-tie bikini.
Of course this artwork is quite delectable, yet clearly it’s not been refined too deeply – it’s questionable if it was even sketched by Noizi Ito, the original character designer for the series, versus some budget illustrator. A plain white background is rarely a satisfying sight – and the females merely pose with the most basic standing position. Nonetheless however, tsundere in mizugi is nothing, nor ever anything, to complain about – despite the downsides, the characters were still drawn to the point they’re rather delicious in appearance.
Misaki Mei is always attractive, and a sukumizu is fine too, yet the issue is atop of that sukumizu, she adorns a sweater of some sort – this makes it quite difficult to appreciate her figure unless one has a hardcore school swimsuit fetish.
Focusing on the tsundere instead, who one will likely have had their eyes affixed on to begin with, her visage doesn’t diverge too greatly from that of the anime – and a specific admirable trait is the blushing which seems to engulf her face. When one observes her visage for a while, the apparent illustrative prowess actually begins to come forward – for instance, the complexity of her eyes.
Her oppai are partially covered by her hair – and here on can notice the lack of detail, there’s an absence of heavy shadow work, her body having been kept mainly bland in that respect. Yet that’s not necessarily a negative, rather, a different method of going about an art work – thus it’d be more appropriate to simply call “plain vanilla” versus “bland”. Now even though her upper body isn’t too rewarding, her waist certainly is – impeccable curvature enough to drive one crazy, flavorfully wrapped in a blue side-tie mizugi bottom.
A more developed cover artwork could have been used for Another’s fourth BD – yet this one is quite satiating in itself, specifically in thanks to the tsundere.
